Should I have guns?

In Central America we shot everyone who had any type of gun for any purpose.  When the order went out to turn in ALL weapons that is exactly what was meant.  No guns and no exceptions or excuses. No guns meant no gun for any reason. 

 

Here in America we constantly hear people saying “I’ll never give up my guns” when these very people have rarely ever faced the awful barrage of assault inflicted by just a handful of highly trained combatant troops.  It is a serious thing and most of those men of goodwill end up dead.  My point is guns and explosives have traditionally become available when the need arises.  Currently there is no organized structure of counter-offensive so why do people need guns and what is the big plan with them?

 

In a while there will be a time when a leader will come and bring with him the knowledge and ability to get things done in an effective method.  Right now all we have is a bunch of disorganized (but probably sincere) people who will cause nothing but problems for a strong and effective force down the road.  Most of us who have been in combat know the importance of some structure so what’s the hurry?  Are you going to use your M-16 to guard your can of beans?  If necessary, seal and bury them for a better day when things make some sense.  I know this is a time of stress and we all want to do something but we must do it so it will be effective.
